Dora Arce Riojas, age 70, of Nixon passed away on May 1, 2012. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Latin American Cemetery in Nixon. Dora was born on March 23, 1942 in, Nixon, Texas to Alejandro and Carmen Espinoza Arce. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Riojas, Jr., her parents, her son Joe Riojas, III, her sisters, Janie Garcia and Mary Garza and her brothers, Salvador Rodriguez and Isidore Pena . Survivors include her children, Rosemarie Rogers and husband Jack; Arthur (Tudy) Riojas, Sandra Nino and husband Ricardo; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-granchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
