Alex C. Santos, age 79 of Seguin, passed away on July 18, 2009. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Alex was born on May 3, 1930 in Hondo, Texas to Pete and Guadalupe Barrientes Santos. He proudly served in the United States Army and will be remembered as an electrician. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice C. Santos, his infant son, Daniel Santos, his parents, and his siblings, David, Ermilo, and Eva. Survivors include his children, Ermilo Santos and wife, Margie, Liza Dyer and husband, Johnny, Sandra Thomas and husband, Lanny, Alex Santos, Jr. and wife, Christy, Ida Patterson and husband, Allen and Paul Santos; siblings, Amparo Gonzales and husband, Ramon, Nena Montoya, Miguel Santos and wife, Mary and Pete Santos, Jr.; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization of choice.
