Alexa Ray Norman, age 54 of Seguin, passed away on April 9, 2012. A memorial service celebrating Alexa's life will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Cross Church at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Price, Rev. Jeremy Roy, Rev. Tom Jones and Chaplain Rhonda Robbins officiating. Private interment next to her beloved parents will take place at a later date in San Geronimo Cemetery. Alexa was born on September 19, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles T. and Edna Ray Howard Norman. Alexa was a member of the Seguin High School Matador Class of 1976. Alexa was employed with the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for nearly 30 years where her co-workers were like family. She will be remembered for recording music and singing throughout Guadalupe County and surrounding areas and is now singing among the Angels. She was a member of Cross Church and they, too, were like her family. Alexa was active and involved in the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life and was a board member and officer of the San Geronimo Cemetery Association. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary H. U. Wood Unit 245. Alexa is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Pat Norman. Survivors include her brothers, Charly Norman, and Lee Norman and wife, Melva; nephews, Larry Norman and wife Michelle, Clae Norman and Luke Norman; niece, Cayla Norman; seven great nieces and great nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends. When Alexa was asked how she was, her response was always "Blessed". Her friends and family were the one's who were blessed by her and her "Christian Witness".
