In Loving Memory of Alexis Marie Haney Rosales

Alexis Marie Haney Rosales, affectionately known as Lex, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 27, after a courageous battle with AML leukemia. Born on August 9, 1997, in Dallas, Texas, Alexis grew up in New Braunfels, where she graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2015. She later attended St. Philip's College in San Antonio and thrived in her career as a personal insurance agent, serving her clients with dedication and care.

Alexis was the embodiment of strength, loyalty, and love. As a devoted big sister, cherished daughter, and steadfast friend, she made everyone in her life feel fiercely valued. Those fortunate enough to be part of her "Tribe" experienced the unparalleled depth of her compassion, bravery, and unwavering support. She faced life's challenges with an infectious smile, boundless optimism, and an unshakable faith in the future. Her deep faith in God was a guiding light through the trials she faced, and she found peace in trusting His plan for her life.

Preceded in death by her beloved aunt Kimberly (Kimmy) Haney Chepey, her grandparents Laura and Ruben Hernandez, and great-grandparents Ruby and Edwin Haney and Epifania and Roberto Palomo, Alexis is now reunited with them in eternal peace, embraced in God's love.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her parents, Danette and Robert Hernandez; her brothers, Ethan and Gavin Hernandez; her life partner, Diego Acosta; her maternal grandparents, Rose and Mike McKinney; her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Danny Haney; uncles John Paul Lara and Reuben Hernandez Jr. and wife Sylvia; aunt Janel Gil;  her cherished dog, Hank Hernandez; as well as numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.

Alexis was a true warrior—determined and steadfast even in the face of the most daunting battles. While pursuing her nursing degree and working full-time, she carried herself with remarkable strength and hope, never allowing her circumstances to diminish her dreams. She lived a life that reflected God's grace, leaving behind a testimony of faith, perseverance, and love that will forever inspire those she touched.
