Alfreda "Meme" Schaper, age 99 of Seguin, passed away on September 7, 2014. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Joseph M. Ray and Rev. Andy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Alfreda was born in DeWitt County, on April 18, 1915 to Dietrich and Emma (Seifert) Lamprecht. Alfreda was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church and actively participated in the UMW Evening Circle Group. She will be remembered as a wonderful beautician and seamstress. "Meme" enjoyed cooking and was known for her wonderful pralines. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ernst "Sweeney" Schaper, Sr., her son, Frank Ernst "Little Sweeney" Schaper, Jr., her parents, her brothers, Ewald Lamprecht, Norman Lamprecht and William "Dutch" Lamprecht and her sister Belva Armstrong. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hamlett and husband Jack; granddaughters, Shelly Traeger and husband Andrew, and Sheila Ullrich and husband Jon; great-grandchildren, Shelby Radick, Jon Carter Ullrich and Clark Ullrich; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Ullrich, Andrew Traeger, Jack Hamlett, Carter Ullrich, Clark Ullrich and Bill Lamprecht. The family would like to thank the staffs of Seguin Assisted Living and Nesbit Living and Recovery for their loving care of "Meme".
