Alicia Garza Hernandez passed away September 18, 2008 at the age of 71. She was born May 31, 1937 in Lockhart to Antonio Garza, Sr. and Soledad Soto Garza. She was an owner of T & M Drive Inn Grocery Store and Northside Furniture Company with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Garza. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mono Hernandez; children, Ricardo Hernandez and wife Chriselda, Sandra Gonzalez and husband Joel and Mona Flores and husband Ishmael; grandchildren, Erik Hernandez, Christina Gonzalez Reyes, Jennifer Hernandez, Kimberly Gonzalez, Melissa Hernandez, Stacey Gonzalez, Andrew Flores, Dylan Gonzalez and Anais Flores; great grandchild, Arianna Reyes; siblings, Beatrice Salazar, Mary Toni Castillo, Julia Tobias, Dora Luna, Hope Gonzales, Robert Garza, Barbara Barrientos, Antonio Garza, Jr. and Albert Garza and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A funeral procession will depart funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Erik Hernandez, Andrew Flores, Dylan Gonzalez, Robbie Luna, Robert Garza, Jr., Anthony Barrientos, Roy Castillo, Jr., and Joseph Lawson.
