Allen Brewster, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on October 8, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Carl McCauley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Allen was born on October 31, 1928 in Temple, Texas to Texas Supreme Court Justice Few and Mrs. Myra Brewster. Allen graduated from Austin High School in 1946. He enrolled at The University of Texas where he received a degree in pre-law/ government. He then chose to enlist in the United States Army, serving two years in the Korean War as a regiment courier. He returned to the University of Texas after an honorable discharge to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts. Allen had a career in public relations working for several large corporations such as Dallas Power and Light, Gulf Oil and C & H Transportation. He was the owner of Brewster Communications and Able Press. He was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church and he sang in the choir. He was the past president of the Seguin Sunrise Lions Club, a Melvin Jones Fellow, and Lion of the Year. He was an avid fund raiser for the Lions. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Audry June Brewster, his parents and his sisters, Joan and Evelyn. Survivors include his son, Andrew Brewster and friend Tammie Franta; daughter, Dr. Carol Pearson and husband Bob; grandchildren, Amanda and Clayton Brewster and Bradley and Rachel Pearson; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Seguin Sunrise Lions Club. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P. O.
