Althea Lorraine Haynes, age 72 of Seguin, passed away on July 29, 2021.  She was born on May 28, 1949 in Sacramento, California to Patricia Irene (Carpenter) and Bertram Jesse Andrus.  Althea was a Registered Nurse and retired from the North East Methodist Intensive Care Unit several years ago.  She and her husband John are longtime active members of New Life Fellowship in Seguin.

Althea is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Steven Roy Andrus and wife Diane and great-granddaughter, Aria Rochester.

Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, John L. Haynes; sons, Shawn Weaver and wife Brandy, and Kevin Weaver and partner, Tyonna Tiscono; daughter, Mary Storm Austin and husband Paul; daughter-in-law, Chaye Cuevas; sister, Susan "Susie" Whitener and husband Mark; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.

A memorial service celebrating Althea's life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Church in Seguin with Pastors Chris Larson, Pamela Dietz and Layne Dietz officiating.  A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.  Private interment will be held at a later date.
