Alyanna Nicole Martinez, age 22 of Seguin, passed away on October 5, 2024 at her home, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Alyanna was born on August 18, 2002 in Seguin, Texas to Tanya Marie (Gil) and Jerry Lee Martinez. Alyanna was a 2020 graduate of Seguin High School.
She enjoyed music, Crime Television, Roman Reigns and WWE, she loved her makeup collection, and her mismatched socks, despite her illness, she was always positive, and wanted to help whoever she could. She was so full of love and laughter. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece and dog mom to her beloved fur baby Jessi. Alyanna's stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Alyanna is preceded in death by her grandparents, Pedro Martinez Sr., Rosa Prado Campo, Maria Garcia Gil and George Gil Sr.
Survivors include her mother and father, Tanya (Gil) and Jerry Martinez; her siblings, Lacinda Martinez and her husband John Paul, San Marcos; Brianna Zuniga and her husband Jesus Zuniga Jr., Seguin ; Destiny Martinez, San Antonio; Jerry Martinez Jr, San Antonio and Marisa Martínez, Seguin; her grandparents Rick and Linda Gil, Seguin; grandmother Josefina Martínez, San Marcos. As well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Antonio Ramirez, Christopher Campos, Michael Hernandez Jr., Evan Gil, Jesus Zuniga Jr., Robert Martinez, Rick Gil, and Pete Martinez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicolas Medina and Andrew Ramirez.
I ached and yearned for that imaginary place, the one which I could breathe. Now I sit here with God, with Nature beauty and astounding light; and now I feel like finally I can BREATHE!
