Angela Arlene Awtrey, age 82 of Junction, passed away on January 15, 2024.  Angela was born on December 14, 1941 in Menard, Texas to Mary Vieve (Smith) and John Richard Bailey.

Throughout her life Angela enjoyed painting, gardening and riding horses.  Everyone she knew tried to get their hands on her paintings.  Her talent was exceptional.  She always welcomed any visitor with a good cup of Coffee and great conversation.

Angela's door was always open to anyone.  All friends were considered family.  All knew they could turn to her for comfort, advice, love or a place to lay their head.

Angela had a strong love for any living being.  Rescuing everything from baby lambs, three-legged cows to baby puppies.

Angela was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert Joe Awtrey, her parents, and her sisters, Mary Alice Bailey and Carolyn Bernice Airheart.

Survivors include her loving children, Rodney Sanders, Tess Cotrone and husband Mike, Robyn Baeza and husband Ivan, and Robert "Bobby" Awtrey and wife Michelle; brothers, Johnnie Bailey and wife Mae, and Richard Bailey and wife Norma; thirteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Our mom was a staple in our family.  Loving her children and grandchildren with all of her heart, loving family gatherings at her home, watching her family laugh and enjoying good times at her property in Junction.  She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
