Angela (Angie) Caroline Hernandez, age 39 of Seguin, Texas passed away on May 16, 2012 after a 13 month valiant battle with brain cancer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. with the recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. Angie was born on January 30, 1973 in Sterling, Illinois to Ralph Rudolph and Judith Mary Jansen Berg. Angie grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and after high school graduation in 1991 attended West Point Preparatory Academy in New York. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in German, and obtained a second bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in Nursing. Since graduation from nursing school, Angie worked for the Duncan Oklahoma Regional Hospital, for the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, and for the last three years at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving husband of 17 years, Oscar Hernandez; her loving daughters, Andrea (Andie), Abigail (Abbi) and Ashlee Hernandez; siblings, Lisa Childress-Tye and husband Danny, Michael Berg and wife Theresa, Walter Berg, Margaret (Margo) Worrall and husband, Chris, Joseph Berg and wife Donna, and her twin sister, Catherine (Kate) Berg and fiancé, Robert Geoghagan; mother-in-law, Gudelia Hernandez; father-in-law, Jose Natividad Hernandez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. Angie loved participating in community charity events and spending time with her family and friends. Angie was passionate with her love for God, family, friends, co-workers, and patients, and demonstrated this love in her day-to-day walk. She will be missed by one and all.
