Anita "Susie" Brawner, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on September 28, 2015. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Smith, Rev. Ron Welborn and Rev. Bill Knobles officiating. A reception will follow in Hierholzer Hall. Susie was born on May 11, 1926 in New Braunfels, Texas to Willie and Emma "Tausch" Kuhn. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She owned and operated Brawner's Flowers. She enjoyed all kinds of needle work and will be remembered as an avid newspaper reader, keeping up on current events including all sports. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John "Johnny" Brawner, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her loving daughter, Susan Casto and husband Stan; granddaughter, Amy Seidel and husband Kurt; great-grandsons, Zachary and Caden Seidel; sister-in-law, Billie Schneider; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
