Ann M. Odom of Seguin, Born May 30, 1934, in Floresville, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 76 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Odom; parents Annie Merecka Tkadlec and Paul Tkadlec; two infant children; brothers Leo,
Paul, Johnny and Tony Tkadlec; and sister Lilly Woitena. Survivors include sons Clarence Olsovsky, Teddy and wife Gay Lynn Olsovsky, Patrick Olsovsky and Randy and wife Ann Odom, all of Seguin; sister Libby Johns and husband Desmond of Floresville; grandchildren Sandra and husband Chris Grimm, Elizabeth and husband Ernest Tijerina, Sarah and husband Jeremy Louque, Paula Olsovsky, James Odom, Lauren Gastring, and Kyle Gastring; great-grandchildren Kiley and Grace Tijerina, Casey and Tyler Louque, Morgan, Allie, and Carl Grimm, and Jordyn Sauceda; and brothers-in-law Ken Odom and wife Betty of Victoria, TX and Donny Odom of Seguin. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Creek Community Cemetery at Elm Creek in Seguin. Ann raised watermelons, corn and other vegetables alongside her husband and boys. She retired from Seguin ISD cafeteria services in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, preparing big holiday meals for her family and baking cookies at Christmas for family and friends. She also enjoyed going dancing. Pallbearers will be Kyle Gastring, James Odom, Chris Grimm, Billy Thiess, RD Tkadlec and Johnny Behrendt. Honorary pallbearers are the daughters, spouses and grandchildren of her late husband J.D. Odom: Brenda and Henry Herbold, Barbara and Tommy McKinny, Shirley and Jimmy Herbold, Mary and David Gonzales, Dawn and Ray Caddell, Dylan Herbold, Lois and Chad Elley, Lisa and Wesley Bloch, Holden Caddell and fiancee Shannon Blankenship, Jason Herbold, Ty and Brady Elley, Hunter Herbold, and Chloe and Lilly Bloch.
