Anna D. Henderson, age 85 of Seguin, formerly of San Antonio, passed away on August 28, 2009. Graveside services and interment will be held with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Anna was born on April 25, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James J. and Anna Telfer Louis. She proudly served in the 124th Medical Detachment of the United States Army during World War II. She met the love of her life, Royal D. Henderson who was her patient being treated for injuries while serving in the China-Burma-India Theatre during World War II. It was love at first sight. Anna was a lifetime member of the American Legion H.U. Wood Post #245 in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Royal D. Henderson, her parents and her brother, James Louis. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Rotkosky and husband, Bill; grandson, Tony and special friend, Dalaine; special cousins, Loretta White and Margie Taggart.
