Arlene Brehm Christmas, age 87 of Seguin, formerly of Cibolo, passed away on June 4, 2025. Arlene was born on February 3, 1938 in Cibolo, Texas, to Anita Nola (Kropp) and Malford Edgar Brehm.
Arlene retired after 36 years of work in several Civil Service positions at different bases, mostly at Randolph Field. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Other memberships included the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8315 in Schertz and the Seguin Hermann sons Lodge #37. She enjoyed travelling the world and camping with her family. Gardening and watching for hummingbirds and cardinals were favorite pastimes. She always had a special place in her heart for all dogs. However, her most precious times were always spent among family and friends.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Douglas Christmas; three children and their spouses; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-daughter; one brother; one sister; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 108 S. Main St., Cibolo, TX, 78108, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Jason Ford officiating. A reception will follow.
Private graveside services will be held later at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Church, 108 S. Main St., Cibolo, Texas, 78108 or to any Alzheimer's Association of Choice.
