IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey Jean
Hettinger
December 15, 1993 – February 24, 2019
Audrey Jean Hettinger, age 25 of Seguin, passed away on February 24, 2019.
Born on December 15, 1993, to parents Richard Eugene Hettinger and Jennifer Lynn (McKay) Hettinger, Audrey was a driven woman who loved to be involved with her community. While a student at Seguin High School, Audrey was involved in producing the school magazine, played on the Varsity basketball team, and participated in track and field events. She also competed in local science fairs and became certified in American Sign Language. Following graduation, she went on to attend the University of Texas at Tyler to study engineering. There, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter who meant the whole world to her. In her own words Amelia gave her "a new definition for love." She loved photography, her family (including her cat and dog), sour candies, music, and art. Unforeseen circumstances brought her back to Seguin where she taught those who survived her a great deal about compassion, patience, and love. Audrey was always kind to those who were not treated fairly, and she was a strong woman who endured much adversity in her life, yet persevered. We know that now, Audrey is at peace with her Lord.
Audrey is survived by devoted parents Jennifer and Richard, beloved daughter Amelia, grandparents Patricia and Jim McKay, sisters Annaliese, Lesley, and Kirsten and brothers Michael and Jeffery.
The recitation of the holy rosary will begin on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 9:30 am at St. James Catholic Church followed by the mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the charity your choice. Those who wish are invited to sign the guestbook at www.treshewell.com.
Special thanks are given to the many doctors, nurses, therapists and EMT's who helped Audrey in the latter part of her life so that she was able to spend more time on earth with her family and watch her daughter grow. And many thanks to the Hettinger family prayer warriors.
