August "Moosey" Glenewinkel III, age 88, of Kingsbury passed away on March 15, 2015. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Evangelists' Lutheran Church with Reverend Dan Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery. Moosey was born on May 13, 1926 in Kingsbury, Texas to August Jr. and Lena (Bittner) Glenewinkel. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucile (Weilbacher) Glenewinkel; daughters, Gem Henk and Melody Gavlik; son-in-law, Terry Brashears; brothers, Martin, Norman, Henry, and Elmer Glenewinkel; sisters, Elsie Wagener, Cora Jahns, Angela Mack, and Annie Heinemeyer. He is survived by his daughters, Joy Brashears, Gay Jackson and husband Don; son-in-law, John Gavlik; grandchildren, Heath Tatom and wife Tammy, Tara Dierschke and husband Brian, Cameron Jackson and wife Brittany, Neal Brashears and wife Kristie, Jeremy (JJ) Brashears and wife Rianne, Amber Brashears and fiancé Dennis Cervantes, Joanne Mayes and husband David, and Ruth Wu and husband Phillip; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, and Ryan Tatom, Clayton and Andrew Dierschke, Triston, Neal Jr., Sammie, Terry, Stryker, and Bradi Brashears, Chris Mayes and wife Tabitha, Rebekah Veliz and husband Harrison, Tyler, Travis, and Allyson Haworth, and Julianne Wu; great great-grandchildren, Damien, Draven and Dorian Mayes, and Sarah and Shaughn Collins, and Alejandro and Angel Veliz; brother, Herman (Jake) Glenewinkel and wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Betty Weilbacher; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Marcus Jahns, Douglas Glenewinkel, Ward Glenewinkel, Hugh Glenewinkel, Reagan Glenewinkel, and Russell Weilbacher.
