Barbara Heidemeyer, age 86 of Seguin, entered into heaven on December 17, 2022 in her home with her family by her side. Barbara was born in Lockhart, Texas on March 11, 1936 to Elmer and Madie Samaria (Todd) Sewell.

Barbara will be fondly remembered for her multiple talents in art. She was an incredible artist. She was able to create beauty by drawing, you could just name an item and she was able to create incredible works of art by just the word. After 20 years of being unable to draw due to her right hand causing her problems, but in the final months of her life she was enjoying drawing again with her left hand! Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Darwin Heidemeyer Sr., and her sons, Darwin Heidemeyer Jr. (Butch) and Russell Heidemeyer (Rusty).

Survivors include her loving daughter, Rochelle Hesseltine and husband Richard; daughters-in-law, Kim and Donna Heidemeyer; grandchildren, Rachelle Helmcamp and husband Chad, Krystal Hesseltine and partner Alex, Wayne Hesseltine and wife Jamie, Brittany Heidemeyer, Joshua Heidemeyer and wife Teri, Eric Heidemeyer and wife Nita, Cheryl Gaitan and husband Mike, J.R. Oliver, Kristin Tatko and husband David, De De Heidemeyer, Trey Heidemeyer, Shonna Heidemeyer; great-grandchildren, Michael, Halen, Hayden, Eli, Zach, Tyler, Adrian, Nathan, Zayden, T.J., Re Re, James, Ashlynn, Daylynn and Wayne Jr.; brother, Elmer Loyd "Buddy" Sewell; nephews, Clay Jackson and Rick Jackson; niece, Debra Shields and Michelle; as well as many other loving family members. In Lieu of flowers the family requests plants, or a memorial contribution to GRMC Hospice Foundation 1215 E. Court St. Seguin, Texas 78155, or a charity of one's choice.

A private memorial service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at a later date.
