Obituary

Benjamin Alan Mercer, 14 of Marion, passed away on April 7, 2017. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10 AM at Country Church in Marion with Pastor Butch Ikels and Rev. Lee Zillmann officiating. Interment will follow in the Redeemer United Church Cemetery. On April 7, 2003 Benjamin came into this world and started his father and mother's hearts really for the first time. Ben was a deeply caring and loving person with a big heart. He had a passion for raising and caring for animals and loved to climb trees. He was also very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, and building things. Ben loved everyone he met and was the best big brother. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Ben is survived by his father, Daniel Mercer and wife, Amanda; his mother, Jamie Hunt and fiancée Dr. Kevin "Bubba" Kunde; brothers, Connor and Colin Mercer; step-siblings, Morgan, Caleb, and Max Kunde; grandparents, Barry and Linda Mercer, Jeffrey Hunt, Lori Johnsen, Leticia Cruz Roberson, Marlene Evans and husband, Harry, Jim Dowd, and Arlene Kunde; aunt Michelle Rice; uncles, Jeff Hunt and wife, Kelly, Jonathan Roberson, Sean Roberson, Nancy Meadows and husband, Floyd, Butch Wyatt Kunde and wife, Grace, Sharon Offer and husband, Gilbert, as well as numerous cousins and many friends. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, PO Box 1593, Seguin, TX 78155.
