Wesch

Bernadette "Bobbie" Wesch, age 89, passed away on January 2, 2026. She was born to Anton and Annie Faldik on October 16, 1936. She was the eighth child out of nine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; daughter, Sandra; brothers, Tony, Frankie and Joe; and sisters, Olga, Ann and Edith.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne; one sister, Marie; one brother, George; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bobbie graduated from Yoakum High School in 1954 and then moved to Seguin. She continued to live in Seguin until December 2021. She spent her remaining years living it up at the Highlands Springs retirement community in Dallas, Texas. Her foundation in life came from her love for God, country, and family. There was no doubt she was a people person and wanted to help others. She did so by contributing her time and efforts to various organizations in the Seguin community. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church where she was a founding member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas chapter, Our Lady of Angels, a Eucharist Minister, and a member of St. Ann's Circle. Bobbie was a member of the H.U. Wood Post 245 American Legion Auxiliary for over 40 years and served in numerous officer positions including that of Chaplain. In addition, she served on numerous committees ALA and in 1992, named Auxiliary Member of the Year. She volunteered at the Seguin Police Department and helped with several of their programs including the DARE program; Cops and Kids; and Blue Santa. She was also a member of the Stern Sons of Hermann Lodge No. 142 and recognized for her humanitarian deeds and outstanding community service.

A visitation will begin Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Canon Stanislaw Fiuk officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. James Catholic Cemetery.  A reception will follow at the church Parish Hall.
