Bernette Carter Benedict Pattillo, age 93 of Seguin formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on October 27, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bernette was born in Stockdale Texas on February 3, 1920 to Alvro and Stella Richardson Carter. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wallis Benedict and Reuben T. Pattillo and her parents and her brothers, Carlton and C. M. Carter. Survivors include her son, Wallis M. (Marc) Benedict, Jr.; step-daughter, Jan Davis and husband Bill Howden; grandsons, David Marc Benedict and wife Amy, Jared Michael Benedict and wife Renee; two great-granddaughters, Callie Rene and Rachel Cate Benedict; step-grandson, Trey Davis and wife Amy; special nephew, Mark C. Carter and wife Beverly; nieces, Lynn Deagen, Carmen Carter and Carla Mangum and husband Ronnie; numerous other loving family members. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Benedict, Jared Benedict, William R. (Billy) Leske, Jr., Robert Joe (Bobby) Leske, Mark C. Carter, Wade Carter, and Scott Carter .
