Bernice A.Tschoepe, age 80 of Seguin, passed away on August 14, 2017. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Bigott officiating. Bernice was born on October 24, 1936 in Seguin Texas to Arno Dietert and Norma B. Braune Dietert Schievelbein. Bernice worked for the Seguin Independent School District as a chef in the school cafeteria. She was an active member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church and enjoyed serving any way she could. She also enjoyed serving as a Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Volunteer. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Tschoepe, her parents, and her sister, Martha Lea Ranft. Survivors include her loving sons, Tom Tschoepe and wife Betty, and Ray Tschoepe; grandchildren, Amanda Arambula and husband Roger, Scott Tschoepe, Melissa Garcia and husband Jose, and Aaron Tschoepe; great-grandchildren, Eli and Owen Garcia, and Maisy, Lillian and Mary Margaret Arambula; sister, Gloria Reininger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
