Betty Auckland, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on June 7, 2016. Betty was born on August 17, 1934 in Delta Colorado to Sherman and Bertha (Gunn) Bardell. Betty loved all sports but will be remembered as an avid golfer, having won the New Braunfels City Golf Championship twice at Landa Park Golf Course. Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Auckland, her parents and her sister Eleanor Duncan. Survivors include her life partner of 47 years, Nancy Du Kett; children, Debbie Eccleston and husband John, Kimberly Reynolds and husband Dan, and Jeffrey Du Kett; sisters-in-law, Debbie Dubose and husband Fred, Karen Hawkins and husband Ronnie, and Cindy Tooman and husband Brent; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her beloved Siamese Cat,Tex; other loving family members and friends. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Private interment will be held in Colorado at a later date.
