Obituary

Betty C. McFalls, born to Jesse Carole and Myrtle Beatrice (Patton) Taylor on August 9, 1939, in Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on Oct 11th,2024. She was the eldest of six siblings: Jack Taylor, Jessie Jr. (Butch) Taylor, Terry Taylor, Yvonne Maxwell, and Alicia Laws.

At the age of 14, Betty moved to Houston, TX, where she met her beloved husband, Kennith Edward McFalls. They were married on December 29, 1957, in Houston. Betty dedicated her life to being a homemaker caring for her husband and raising their two sons, Keith and Kirk McFalls. Throughout her life, she lived in various places, including Houston TX, Ft. Huachua AZ, Lubbock TX, Ft. Worth TX, and Mission Viejo CA, where she worked in real estate. For the last 40 years, she has resided in the Las Brisas neighborhood in Seguin, TX.

Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother to Ashley Burns and Nathan McFalls, and great-grandmother to Isabel and Connor Burns. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies such as gardening, quilting, antique collecting, painting, baking, and had a love for camping and fishing.

Betty is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Taylor; mother, Myrtle Taylor; brothers, Jack and Butch (Jesse Jr.) Taylor; and sister-in-law, Sue Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth McFalls; brother, Terry Taylor; sisters, Yvonne Maxwell and Alicia Laws; sons, Keith McFalls and Kirk McFalls; daughter-in-law, Stephanie McBroom; grandchildren, Ashley Burns (spouse James Burns) and Nathan McFalls; and great-grandchildren, Isabel and Connor Burns and several nieces and nephews.

Betty's legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 PM at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, 165 Tor Drive, Seguin, TX with Rev. Kerry Cubitt officiating.
