Betty Joyner Webb was born on May 27, 1917 in Lawton, OK to Samuel Andrew and Pauline Anna Joyner. She died on May 7, 2014 at age 96 in Seguin, TX. She grew up in Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School. Following high school she attended nurse's training at Oklahoma City General Hospital in Oklahoma City. She married Homer Clark Webb Jr. on July 28, 1939 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. She is survived by: one daughter, Susan Jane Webb & companion Linda Luegering of Prescott, AZ; son, Clark Dean Webb & wife Terry of Seguin, Texas, one granddaughter, CeCe Rodriguez of Prescott, AZ, and two grandsons, Aric T. Webb of New York City, NY and Sean Christopher Webb & wife Crystal of Denver, CO; nephews and nieces; Sam Joyner III & wife Liz of Tulsa, OK, Richard Newman & wife Brenda of MN, Nancy McKinnis of Edmond, OK, Doris Hunt of AZ, Debbie Sims & husband Phil of CA, Janice Joyner of MN, Judy Dial of Lawton, OK and Darlene Miller of Lawton, OK; special friend, Dee Pickelman of Seguin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Sam Joyner Jr. and William "Bill" Spurlock Joyner, four sisters, Iwilla Hobart, Dorothy Miller, Polly Newman and Loumeda Stone, and two nephews and a niece, Graydon Miller Jr., Robert Newman and Marilyn Humble. Betty was married to Clark for 63 years. During their marriage they traveled the world living many different places during Clark's military career. She and Clark moved to El Paso, TX in 1957 and remained there after his retirement until they moved to Seguin in 2001. Betty was a loving and dedicated mother and homemaker. Among her many interests was cooking, sewing, bowling, playing bridge, volunteering at the hospital, and later on square-dancing. After retirement Betty and Clark enjoyed many trips and cruises. During her time in Seguin she participated in the Muscle Magic Class at the Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center till 2011 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Seguin followed by a reception in the Christian Life Center.
