Obituary

Billy S. (Bill) Steele, age 68 of Seguin passed away on June 9, 2010 after a valiant 20 year battle with leukemia. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 E. Common Street in New Braunfels, with Pastor Don Fraker officiating. A reception will follow at the Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. Bill was born on May 30, 1942 in Harlingen, Texas to W. T. and Flora Myrtle Schultz Steele. He was a proud graduate of Texas Tech University. He will be remembered as a long time employee of the Alamo Group. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sidney and Edna Beyer. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Beyer Steele; son, Michael Steele; daughter, Julie Steele; parents W. T. and Myrtle Steele; brother, Richard Steele and wife Judy; sisters, Sue Pennington and husband Steve, Sharon Hance and husband Bobby and Mary Jane Steele; uncle, Ellis Steele; sister-in-law, Bunny Fredericks and husband Keith; grandchildren, Aaron Michael Ward and Courtlynn Elaine Ward; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved gardening, antiques and wood work. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and "PaPa" to his grandchildren.
