Bob Boenig, age 60 of Seguin passed away on September 23, 2010. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday September 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Wade Moore officiating. A reception will follow at the family home. Private interment will be held at a later date. Bob was born on July 23, 1950 in Seguin, Texas to Herbert Vernon and Alberta Emma Radicke Boenig. He was a member of the Seguin High School Class of 1968. He attended Texas Lutheran University and retired after 33 years from Motorola. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, trail-riding, playing golf and farming. His parents preceded him in death as did his father-in-law, Tom McCullough. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Frances Boenig; sons, Boots Boenig and wife Megan, Dusty Boenig; granddaughter, Harleigh Boenig; brother, Allen Boenig and wife Gloria; sister, Joyce Harborth and husband Kenneth; nieces and nephews, Crystal Campbell and her children Carpenter, Walker and Garrett, Keith Boenig and wife Lisa and their children Shay and Chase, Robin Gerlich and husband Dwayne and their children Brig and Brock, Rebecca Newton and husband Kurt and their children Justin, Kandace and Tyler; aunts, Ruby Lee Wolma and Isabel Turner and husband Jesse; mother-in-law, Virginia McCullough; brothers-in-law, Douglas McCullough and wife Melinda and their children, Johnny McCullough and wife DeAnn, Wayne McCullough and wife Brittany and Dawn Hale and husband Ray; sister-in-law, Janice Irick and husband Drew; sister-in-law, Debbie Moore and husband Wade and their children, Wade Moore, III and wife Jillian and Sheree Prather and husband Andy; sister-in-law, Anita Meyer and husband Marvin and their children, Jessica Bourcier, Erin Bourcier and Morgan Galan and husband Chris; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
