Quinney Sparks
March 15, 1936 – November 6, 2025
Bobbie Lee Quinney Sparks passed from this life after a long illness on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Preceding her in death are her husband Fred Richard Sparks, Jr., her parents, Henry and Jessie Quinney, and her brothers, David L Quinney and H Wayne Quinney.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses. Rose Marie Helton and spouse, Reggie Helton of Edmond, OK. D Paul Sparks and his spouse, Susan C Sparks of Midland, Tx. Bruce W Sparks and his spouse, Cindy L Sparks of North Platte, NE.
Bobbie is also survived by her six grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart; Kendra Guiter, Matthew Sparks, Noel Sparks, Jaron Sparks, Bonnie Edwards and Roxanne Helton. She was also a very proud great grandmother to: Bryce Helton, Juliet Edwards, Elias Edwards, Heston Guiter, Kastor Guiter, Rowan Sparks and Calder Sparks.
Besides her children and their spouses, Bobbie is survived by her Sister, Nell Manis of San Antonio, TX and her brother Larry W Quinney and his spouse, Debbie Quinney of Midland, TX. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins spread across the US.
Bobbie was a devoted educator for many years. Earning two Master’s Degrees in the Education field, with her specialty in Special Education. She was just 12 hours shy of earning her doctorate in education. She loved her special designation of Educational Diagnostician with all of her heart. Her colleagues were blessed to have had her as part of their team. She retired, but continued to work as an Educational Diagnostician Special Consultant until the passing of her husband in 2011.
Bobbie tirelessly kept abreast of her close-knit family with weekly phone calls, and prayed over everyone who ever crossed her path. Many family members credit her as to the link to their path to God and eternity. She will be and is missed greatly. We commend our precious Mother, Aunt, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend into the arms of our Mighty God and Saviour Jesus.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Stockdale Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Evans officiating. A celebration of life gathering will follow at the Stockdale Community Center, 700 W. Main, Stockdale, Texas, 78160.
