Bonnye Gene Davenport, age 71 of Seguin, formerly of Nixon, passed away on January 5, 2021.  Bonnye was born on March 13, 1949 in Seguin, Texas to Ima Gene (Schnitz) and John Henry Davenport.  Bonnye loved her Lord and Savior and worshipped many years at First Baptist Church in Nixon and later at Lifegate Church in Seguin.  Her parents preceded her in death.  Survivors include several loving cousins and many friends throughout Seguin, Nixon and Dewville.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert K. Odom officiating.  Interment will follow in the Dewville Cemetery in Dewville, Texas.  All CDC protocols must be followed including limited seating, social distancing and face coverings worn at all locations.  The family appreciates the longtime care and friendships of everyone at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center whom loved and supported her.  Bonnye is now one of our Guardian Angels looking over us.  She will be missed.
