Brandy "Bratley" Wilson went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2018 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 32.
Brandy was born on March 31, 1986 in Houston, Texas to Janette Wilson and Donald Sims. She attended Canyon High School, and later received her High School Diploma. In 2016 she was certified by the TCEQ as a Licensed Water Operator and worked for Canyon Regional Water Authority of New Braunfels.
Brandy was accomplished at many things and was blessed with a zest for life. She loved wood working with her father, playing cards or Farkle with her Mom, late night games of Fortnite with her Brother, working on pallet projects with her friends, wakeboarding on Lake Placid, but above all she loved being on the river with her family and friends. Brandy was one of the most generous people in the world. She loved without fail, she never met a stranger and always put others before herself. Brandy was a hard worker. She had a smile that could light up a room even on the darkest of days. Though Brandy never had children of her own, she loved them, and you could see that the moment a child entered the room. In the latter part of 2017, Brandy became a member of The Rock Church in Seguin and loved to praise and worship. Just a few short weeks ago Brandy rededicated her life to Christ.
Brandy is survived by her parents, Janette Sims of New Braunfels and Donald Sims of Trinity, Texas; brother Cameron Sims and Wife Clarissa; half-brother Joshua Sims; Grandmother Nancy Jo Mozisek; Aunt Nanette and Uncle Mike Winstanley; Aunt Leeann Thuma; Uncle Danny Sims and Wife Sandy; Uncle Charles Sims and Wife Shirley; Aunt Susan Powers and Husband Gary; Uncle Jason Mozisek and Wife Carrie; Aunt Leslye Mozisek-Tonkin and Husband Todd, Uncle Michael Mozisek, Great-Uncle James Mozisek. Cousins Melissa Allen, Megan Murray, Alexis Powers, Joey Powers, Kody Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Ashley Dixon, Craig Halsell, Shelbie Fitzsimon, Lailey Mozisek, Brantley Mozisek and Chayson Mozisek. Nephew Noah James Sims, Nieces Jayme Bink and Leslie Rose Sims. Brandy is also survived by her Bonus Family which includes her Best Friend Wendy Williams, parents Ricky and Theresa Williams, Sisters Michelle Williams and Krista Steinsholt. Nieces Emilee Tatum and Ruby Emilienburg. Nephews Kaden Williams, Kamden Steinsholt and Lucas Pacheco. She is also survived by her extended family otherwise known as her friends.
She is preceded in death by her Great-Grandparents Issac and Maggie Sims, Great-Grandmother Huberta Pogue, Great-Uncle Perry Stuckey Sr, Grandparents Carl and Velma Sims, Grandfather Dale Mozisek, Aunt Leslie Wilson.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, May 19th at Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin. Public viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon – 1:00pm, the service will begin at 1:00pm. Pastor Steve Garza will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brandy's life. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Nancy Jo's Home in Seguin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, TX 78155-1593.
