Brenda Joyce McCoy, age 71 of New Braunfels, formerly of Nixon, passed away on September 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Terry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Dewville Cemetery. Brenda was born on February 20, 1942 in Coleman Texas to Harold Beard and Joyce Marie Buck Crouch. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard "Rick" McCoy, her parents and her brothers Bobby Lynn Brown and Randy Max Brown. Survivors include her daughter, Nita Ryan and husband Ron; sons, Jimmy McCoy, Jr., Monty McCoy, Steve McCoy; daughter-in-law, Lori McCoy; former husband Jimmy McCoy, Sr. and wife Rose; brothers, Cary Don Brown, Steve Brown and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Natasha, Karen, Chasity, Joshua and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Donavyn, Kyryn, Jaxtyn, Jaxon and Kash; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the McCoy and Waxler families. Memorial contributions may be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, P. O.
