Brenda Nitsch, age 78 of Seguin, passed away on April 29, 2018. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Private interment will be held later at San Geronimo Cemetery. Brenda was born on November 9, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Joseph A. and Thelma (Clark) Marquer. Brenda served as a flight attendant on Braniff Airlines and later enjoyed working in the travel industry as a travel agent. She and her husband Pat retired to Seguin, Texas where she volunteered with the Seguin Chamber of Commerce as an ambassador and also spent many hours volunteering with the Christian Cupboard. She was actively involved with the Guadalupe County Republican Women's Organization. Brenda enjoyed traveling, reading and watching classic movies. Her most precious time was spent attending both of her granddaughters' school activities. Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Patrick A. Nitsch, Sr., her parents, and her brother-in-law, Louis Nitsch. Survivors include her son, Patrick A. Nitsch, Jr. and wife Karen; granddaughters, Alejandra Camille Nitsch and Kathia Elena Nitsch; sisters, Marcia Byrne and husband Bill, and Margaret Voss; brother, Joseph A. Marquer, Jr.; sister-in-law, Joanne Korenek; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Cupboard, P. O.
