Brian D. Ploetz, age 53 of Seguin, passed away on June 17, 2008. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7p.m. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Brian was born on June 13, 1955 in Guadalupe County to Ernst (Jr.) and Gladys Koehler Ploetz. He was a 35 year employee of Seguin State Bank and Trust now known as American Bank of Texas. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Brian's father, Ernst Ploetz, Jr. precedes him in death as does his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Ruth Coor. Survivors include his wife, Karen Ploetz; daughter, Jordan Ploetz; mother, Gladys Ploetz; brother, Scott Ploetz and wife, Malia; Reagan Ploetz and wife, Karen; nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Kara, Sara, Londa, Kolin and Kaitlyn Ploetz, Chase and Casey Carley; sister-in-law, Sharen Carley and husband, Jeff; aunts, Angela Haberle, Gloria Sohn and Thelma Koehler; uncle, Kenneth Koehler; numerous cousins and a host of friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at American Bank of Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, P. O.
