Obituary

Brooke Nicole Kibble, age 28 of Seguin, passed away on December 25, 2023.  Brooke was born on February 10, 1995, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Aimee Nicole (Allison) and Rick Carl Duncan.

Everywhere Brooke went, people were drawn to her. Although it helped that she was absolutely stunning and had a smile that was impossible to ignore, what really attracted people to her was her innate sense of compassion and ability to listen to others and to truly hear them, regardless of what was being said. She felt what others felt and intuitively knew how to comfort and inspire them. People shared things with her that they couldn't share with anyone else, and she honored this gift that God had given her by embracing it as her ministry. She quietly led people to Christ, nurtured them as they learned to trust Him, and held their hands as well as the hands of many others along their walks in faith.

Brooke lived in many places during her childhood, but always had her older sister, Kailey, and younger brother, Drew, to make any new place a home. Brooke was known as the most easy going of the Duncan kids, according to her parents. They loved her calm demeanor from a young age. She graduated from New Braunfels Christian Academy where she enjoyed playing tennis. Then, she followed in her parents Rick and Aimee's footsteps by attending Oklahoma State University, earning an accounting degree and an MBA. As a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, she made lifelong friends and touched the lives of many women.

While in college, Brooke met her husband, Geoff, and they married during her senior year. Following graduation, she and Geoff moved to Panama City, Florida to begin their life together. They spent three years there enjoying the beaches, enduring a devastating hurricane, and planning their future family. Once Brooke and Geoff learned that their first child was on the way, they moved their growing family to Sequin, Texas where their children would more easily experience the love of their extended families as they grew up. Brody was born shortly after they settled into their new home, and the family was blessed with his little brother, Bryson, just a year and a half later. Brooke's unyielding compassion that so many others had experienced surrounded her two beautiful children. The boys brought her much joy, and Christ's love poured out of her and into them every second of every day. Brooke loved spending time with her nephew and nieces and was the best sister and daughter one could imagine. She was active at her church, Living Waters, serving in the children's ministry.

Brooke is preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and David Allison and Walter Cotton Duncan.

Survivors include her loving husband, Geoff Kibble; sons, Brody Alexander Kibble and Bryson Lee Kibble; parents, Aimee and Rick Duncan; sister, Kailey Meaney and husband Joe; brother, Drew Duncan; grandmother, Peggy Duncan; mother-in-law, Kimberlee Slaughter and husband Steven; father-in-law, Sean Kibble and wife Shannon; sister-in-law, Ashlee Seime and husband Chad; brother-in-law, Zack Kibble; nieces and nephew, Elaine and Walker Meaney, and Lylee Seime; grandparents-in-law, Ethel and Gary England, and Sue and Richard Kibble; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
