Candace McCoy Sassenhagen passed away May 3, 2015 at the age of 37 in Austin, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 beginning at 5 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for a graveside service and interment at 10:00 a.m. at San Juan Cemetery in Geronimo with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert McCoy, Ramon Sanchez, Jr., Robert Gutierrez, Emilio Martinez, Rodney Sanchez, Sara Martinez, and Arthur Sassenhagen III. Honorary pallbearers are Evan and Austin McCoy. Candace was born on April 25, 1978 in Killeen, Texas to Michael McCoy and Chun Jones. She is survived by her loving husband, Eli Sassenhagen; father Michael McCoy; mother Chun Jones; brother Robert McCoy and wife Lenora; sisters Jean McCoy and partner Justin Barger, Christine McCoy and partner Garrett Klingsporn; sister-in-law Amy Sassenhagen; mother-in-law Antonia Sassenhagen; nephews Evan and Austin McCoy, as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends.
