Carl "Pete" Manier, age 68, passed away on February 12, 2010 at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Visitation Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, at which time a service will be held with Pastor Will Stevens officiating. Interment will be private.Pete was born June 6, 1941 in Jamestown, CA and graduated from Superior High School in Arizona in 1960. He served in the US Navy from 1960 – 1968 aboard the USS Manley DD940. FTG1. From 1981 – 1982 he served as a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Colombia, South America. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ora Mae Radtke Manier and Fred Manier, and by his sister, Darlene. Pete is survived by his wife, Marcia Mace Manier; daughter, Bonne Young, sons, Matthew Manier and Nicholas Manier ( Krystal Garrett); two grandsons, Kyler Young and Logan Young; brother, Bud Manier, sister, Dusty Blake; nieces, Shaunery Hardham, Cindy Smith, Holly Smith ,nephews, Sid Edwards ( Lynn Mash), Chad Losure, Nathan Smith, Scott Manier and a great-nephew, Seth Edwards.
