Mary Cathryn Gray Jackson (Cathy), age 68 of Seguin, went peacefully to be with her Lord on November 14, 2015, after fighting cancer twice. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. followed by reciting of the rosary at 7 pm at St. James Catholic Church with the Catholic Daughters of Americas officiating. She was born November 13, 1947 to Egbert Gray and Proxie (Moczygemba) Gray in San Antonio. She attended Incarnate Word High School and Drawns Business College. She met and married Robert Jackson of Seguin. They met at a country western dance and enjoyed dancing throughout their 49 years of married life. Throughout her adult life, she was involved with St. James Catholic Church to include the Catholic Daughters of Americas and many church projects such as playing the organ at the church for over 30 years. Cathy worked for Southwestern Bell for 14 years in the office in Seguin. Later, she worked for Seguin Housing Authority for over 30 years achieving the status of the Executive Director. She was member of Seguin Kiwanis Club. She was also very involved in the American Legion Auxillary where she was the Unit 245 President, District President, Division President and the chairman of many state committees. She will be missed by many but most of all by her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband Robert Jackson; daughters Susan Seaton and husband Mark and Joanne Bowie and husband Mike; son, Charles Jackson and eight grandchildren.
