Obituary

Cecil Ray (Buddy) McGehee Jr., age 55 of Seguin, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

Buddy was born on December 3, 1966 in Kerrville, Texas to Cecil Ray and Kathy Gail (Way) McGehee.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law. Survivors include his doting wife, Susan McGehee; children, Dustin Ray McGehee, Brittany Curtis and husband Caleb, Collin Richter and wife Racee; grandson, Hylann James Curtis; his parents, Cecil Ray Mcgehee and Kathy McGehee; sister, Tammy McGehee; brother-in-law, Brett Gosnell and wife Teresa; sister-in-law, Cindy Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Army. Buddy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved hanging out with his family and friends and would never miss enjoying a beautiful day on his Harley. He was also an avid Cowboys fan. Buddy will be fondly remembered for his genuine kindness and contagious smile and laughter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with funeral services starting at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Larson officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Dustin McGehee, Collin Richter, Caleb Curtis, Scott Rotge, Sean Rotge and John Elimon.
