Cecilia "Cissy" Arce Martinez, age 74 of Stockdale, formerly of Nixon, passed away on January 3, 2021.  Cissy was born on August 9, 1946 in Nixon, Texas to Bernarda (Cervantes) and Antonio Arce, Sr.  For many years she worked at Main Drug Store and then at Colonial Nursing Home, both in Nixon.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Antonio Arce, Jr. and Gilbert Arce.  Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Martinez; sons, Chris Arce and wife Jessica, Matthew Martinez, and Patrick Martinez and wife Danie; grandchildren, Blake, Avery, Trevor, Francesca, Aden, Dakota, Hunter and Jessa; brothers, David Arce and wife Nelda, Roberto Arce and Alfredo Arce; sisters, Flora Sistos, Margarita Mendez and husband Danny, Hermenia Arce, and Sylvia Lara and husband George; aunt, Isabel "Chavela" Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at 4 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin followed by the recitation of the holy rosary at 5 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating.  All CDC protocols must be followed including social distancing, limited seating, and face coverings worn.  Private interment will be held at a later date.
