Charles David Mount, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on January 8, 2018. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Charles was born on April 12, 1936 in Spring Hill, Kansas to Harry and Emily (Stahl) Mount. He attended Texas Lutheran College and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 35 years of service. He spent time tending to his cattle and enjoyed wood working, but his most precious time was spent with family and friends. He will be remembered as an avid Seguin Matador Fan. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Bettie Mount; children, DeAnne Abrameit and husband Rick, Dixie Taylor, and Clay Mount; grandchildren, Misti Guenther and husband Ben, Gordon Taylor III and wife Mave, Brennan Taylor and Angel Patterson, Zack Abrameit and Katy Blakley, Brandi Barillet and husband Matt, Brooke Abrameit and Brandon Deal, and Brittney Abrameit; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden, Coralie, Tristan, Natalie, Hannah, Jaxson, Cooper, Kannon, Lexi, and Tex; brother, Karl Mount and wife Shirley; sisters-in-law, Peggy Warncke, and Mary Reiland and husband Melvin; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
