Charles Herbert Thut, age 92 of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2020.  Charles was born on November 11, 1927 in Medford, Wisconsin to Wilhelmina (Loertscher) and Adolph Gustav Thut.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Annie Doris Hatley Thut, his parents, his brothers, Robert Thut, Fred Wuethrich, and John Wuethrich, and his sisters, Marie DeVoy and Martha Gall.  Survivors include his son, Larry Wayne Thut; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.  Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all CDC protocol must be followed including social distancing, limited seating and face coverings worn at the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Country Church in Marion, P.
