Charles Turner, age 81, passed away on February 2, 2023 in Seguin, TX.

Charles "Chuck" was born on January 31, 1942 in San Antonio TX and moved to Colorado Springs as a child. He graduated from Palmer High School in 1961 and attended Southern Colorado State University studying vocational arts. He later joined the Army in 1968 and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) in 1987.

Chuck is survived by his wife Pam and two children, Cori and Michael. He is also survived by his two sisters, Betty Strobridge (LeRoy) and Nelda Phelps, and brother, Donnie Coleman (Cathi) along with his grandchildren, Nick, Chase and Evan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Nolan, and his son, Charles Jr.

Chuck loved working on cars or anything mechanical. He was always tinkering around the house and taught his two children the art of home repair. He also enjoyed to travel (traveling extensively with the Army and after retirement). Chuck also adored his children and grandchildren, Pam's homemade lemon pie, cheesecake and pinto beans.

He will be fondly remembered for always being involved and dedicated in family activities such as target practicing with his grandchildren.

His favorite color was purple and was always having purple flowers planted. You would mostly find him in shorts and a white shirt, sitting in his easy chair watching a western movie.

He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans.

Chuck was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service celebrating Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin, Texas. Private interment will be held at a later date.
