Chelsea N. Machado, age 27 of Seguin, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was born July 2, 1996 in Seguin, Texas to, Gregorio Machado Jr., and Monica (Garcia) Machado.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Louise and Enrique Garcia, as well as her great-grandmother, Micaela Rodriguez.

Survivors include her father, Gregorio "Greg" Machado Jr., and wife Christina; her mother, Monica A. (Garcia) Machado; brother, Gregory Machado III; sister; Liliana S. Machado; step-brother, Isaiah Mendoza; grandparents, Gregorio Machado Sr. and wife Mary; Godmother, Rachel Urquiza; uncles, Gary Machado and wife Letty, Enrique Garcia Jr. and wife Frances and Josh Garcia and wife Liz.; aunts, Lisa Hernandez and husband Adrian, Cynthia Martinez and husband Paul, Sonia Garza and husband Jacob, Victoria Martinez and husband Joe and Veronica Castellanos and husband Joe; cousins, Adrian Hernandez, Marcus Hernandez and D'Lisa Hernandez, Isabella Martinez, and Garrett and Lance Machado; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Not often are we in the presence of someone who has a true light shining from within but anyone who met Chelsea Machado felt her energy and were moved by it.

A natural-born leader, whose compassion and care for others was nurtured by her large and loving family, Chelsea always brought out the best in anyone that was around her.

But it was in the quiet places that Chelsea was really able to be herself. A love of writing and music were her forms of expression and, more importantly, escape.

Now, we must do our part to remember the beautiful smile that could brighten any room she entered. A laugh that was contagious and full of joy and promise. A life, while short, that has touched so many people…far beyond the boundaries of family and friends. We must carry on the beauty and the spirit that was Chelsea Machado.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 6 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11 am at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
