Cheryl Ann (Bolado) Johnson, age 48 of Seguin, passed away on July 1, 2017. Cheryl was born on July 6, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cheryl had a generous heart and soul. Anyone in need could count on her. She sponsored a little girl, Michelea Orvy, from Haiti as well as a homeless lady from there. Cheryl had a passion for animals and nature. She loved horses and rescued her horse Gilbo. Cheryl would volunteer at several Animal Shelters where she would foster dogs but end up adopting them. Cheryl also loved photography. She always had her camera ready and took amazing pictures of wildlife, flowers etc. Living in the country provided her with many opportunities for capturing sunrises and sunsets. Cheryl also enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, music and a good joke. She always had a great attitude and was happy reguardless of what was happening in her life. She loved the Lord and had duel memberships at Oakwood Country Church in LaVernia as well as The Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Geneva (Nixon) Bolado. Survivors include her husband, Greg Johnson; sister, Debbie Bolado; aunts, Donna Vaughn and Lena Slaughter; uncles, Eddie Nixon and wife Connie, and Jerry Nixon; her close friend and sister of 30 years, Josie Hinojosa; numerous cousins, other loving family members and many friends. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at The Amazing Grace Baptist Church located at 14593 S. State Highway 123 Seguin TX beginning at 11:00 a.m. All are invited to come and share in this rememberance of Cheryl. Memorial contributions may be made to an Animal Shelter of one's choice.
