Christine Alice Mead-Shaner went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 19, 2022. Christine also affectionately known as "KiKi" and "Mama Mead" was born in Seguin Texas on April 3, 1965 to Howard Charles Mead and Guadalupe Ibarra Mead.

Christine was a 1983 graduate of Seguin high school. She enjoyed a successful career in the beauty industry, both as a beautician, and as an instructor for many years at Seguin Beauty School.

Christine was a vibrant soul with love to spare, always kind to anyone she met, putting family and friends first and walked with a faith that inspired those around her.

Christine was an encourager who loved her life on the ranch with her husband Michael. Her favorite things were traveling and working with her loving husband, spending time at the beach and entertaining her family.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Collin Ashton Jimenez, as well as her sister, Margie Mead Lamont.

Christine is survived by the love of her life, her husband Michael, her loving stepchildren Sabrina Mikes (Derek), Samantha Fulmer (Wayne), Michael Shaner (Carly); her Grandbabies Avery and Brielle; her brothers Joe Jimenez (Connie), Albert Mead (Peggy), Charlie Mead (Carolyn), John Mead (Joan), George Mead (Melissa); and her nieces and nephews Mary Lamont Hill, Joey and Angelica Jimenez, Jennifer, Jonathan, Mary, Frank, and Paul Mead as well as her sidekick puppy Sugar. She will be deeply and forever missed by her family and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. with a Prayer service at 6:30 p.m. A visitation will begin Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church in Seguin. Interment to follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Shaner, Albert Mead, John Mead, George Mead, Frank Mead, Michael T. Shaner, Joe Jimenez and Joey Jimenez.
