Clara Mae Haas of Seguin, passed away on September 26, 2015 at the age of 85. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Mittelstadt officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Clara was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1930 in Pleasanton, Texas to William and Louise (Stobbs) Haese. Clara worked for 36 years at Hexel as a weaver where she produced textiles for NASA that were among the first in space. After her retirement, Clara spent her time knitting and crocheting doilies, among other things, for her family. She was truly a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. Clara is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Leonard Haese and Jimmy Haese. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Leroy; son, Glenn Haas and wife Catherine, daughter Janet Frizell and husband Tommy; grandchildren Nicki Bell and husband Jeff, Buddy Nickel and wife Kaley, Jill Guenther and husband Greg, Jennifer Reichers and husband Robin, Codi Haas, Kimberly Haas, Candice Thye and husband James, Travis Fox, Ryan Fox and wife Sarah, KayDee Holman and husband Justin; 23 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends. The family would like to thank Clara and Leroy's neighbor Dorothy Orr for her wonderful friendship and support to Clara.
