Clara Ruth Jenson Minix, age 83 of Seguin, passed away on January 28, 2016. Visitation will begin on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Cross Church followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Private interment will be held on Tuesday in the Moore Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Ruth was born on March 12, 1932 in Coolidge, Texas to Albert J. and Ruby Mae (Kirtley) Jenson. She graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College in May 1952. She married Thomas Jesse Minix on November 25, 1953. Ruth was a devoted servant of the Lord. She played the piano at most of the churches she attended. She believed in tithing and devotedly supported her church. She taught elementary school, for 50 years, mainly to 3rd graders. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jesse Minix; her, daughter Deanna Lynn Trombley; brothers, A.C. Jenson, Albert Jenson, Jerry Jenson, and Rob Jenson. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Schulte and husband Greg of Tulsa, OK; son Clarence Minix and wife Kathy of Pearland, TX; son-in-law, Ron Trombley of Seguin; grandchildren, David York, Jessica Roby, Nichole Walsh, Nicholas Kersh, Christopher Minix and Michael Minix; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cameron, Ava, Kayla and Brooks; sister, Faye Kinsel; brother, Bob Jenson; sister-in-law, Jimaileen Jenson; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
