Obituary

Clifford L. Brown, 86, of Seguin, passed away on September 10, 2017. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 10AM at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Clifford was born on September 25, 1930 in Wrightsboro, Texas to John Earl and Bessie Augusta (Watts) Brown. Clifford proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the life he had grown up living, that of a farmer. Later, he left the farm and hauled cattle with his own trucking company, Rocking R. He later sold the business and became an overhead fire protection sprinkler fitter, mainly working in San Antonio and New Braunfels area. He retired and moved to Seguin where he has spent his remaining years. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie LaVerne Brown Baker; his parents; and 8 siblings. Clifford is survived by his brother, Donald Brown; sister, Florene Bauer, step-daughter, Delane Maddox Mayfield, and former wife, Ruth Keller. The family would like to thank Windsor Nursing Home for their many years of care and devotion to Clifford, as well as Hope Hospice. Memorial contribution may be made to Hope Hospice, 611 N.
