Clifton H. Robinson Jr., 58 went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on September 18, 2014. He was born February 17, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas to Clifton Hugh and Lillie Wittstruck Robinson. He married Karen Louise Volz August 7, 1973 and shared 41 years of a devoted marriage with his life long sweetheart. Together they raised two children, Clifton H. Robinson and Kristi Lynn Smith. They built a loving christian home with a country life.
After learning from his Father, he built a family home in Dewville, Texas. He began a life long career at SMI steel in Seguin, Texas. Throughout his career he was highly respected for his strong work ethic, true character, and unwavering commitment to integrity. When he was home he was always busy building, repairing, farming, and ranching. He loved to serve everyone and anyone.
He is survived by his wife, children Clifton H. Robinson, Kristi Lynn Smith and husband James Thomas Smith IV; his grandchildren Clifton H. Robinson and Duke Ryan Reed Robinson. Sisters Lillie Barfield husband John, Shirley Sanders, Tommy Robinson wife Mary, mother-in-law Martha Volz and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebrating Cliff's life will be held Sunday, September 28,2014 at 1:00pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Dewville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to GRMC Hospice or Dewville Cemetery Assoc. or a charity of your choice.
