Clinton (Clint) Coker, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on April 21, 2010. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 11:00 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Church with Pastors Lane and Pamela Dietz officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Clint was born on November 24, 1916 in Lockhart, Texas to Guy and Elizabeth James Long Coker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He retired after 35 years plus service with the Seguin Independent School District. He was a faithful and devoted member of New Life Fellowship Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a great-grandson, Zachary Mayernik. Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Gertrude (Trudy) McCall Coker; daughters, Sally Olson and Dixie Nugent and husband Michael; grandchildren, Nancy Mayernik and husband Ron, J. K. Olson and wife Shannon, Scott Olson and wife Amy, Jeff Nugent and wife Tricia, Colleen Nugent and husband Dan Knoblach, Jessica Aagaard and husband Sean, Lisa Nugent and friend Celeste Goff; great-grandchildren, Jared, Jesse, Sophia, Sadie, Lindsay, Liam, Adam, Ashley, Bradley, Joshua and Baby Aagaard; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
